Propellor is a cross-genre ensemble with an ambitious vision.

Soloists, writers and ensemble players have come together from a diverse range of backgrounds to create immersive live experiences through combined art forms.

Jim Molyneux is a London-based drummer/percussionist, pianist, accordionist, vocalist and composer/producer hailing from Littleborough, near Manchester.

He studied at Chetham's School of Music for five years before moving on to the Royal Northern College of Music, where he graduated in 2013.

In 2008 Jim made it to the highly acclaimed Grand Final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year, after beating off national competition to triumph in the percussion section. The Grand Final was televised on BBC2 to 1.1 million viewers.

More recently, in 2014 Jim founded jazz/R&B/hip hop outfit Glowrogues; a 7-piece line up of musicians from Manchester and Birmingham's thriving young jazz scenes. The band play Jim's own self-composed music and have already toured the UK. Jim is also a founder member of "Manchester's ferocious folk foursome" 4Square.

Jim Molyneux is a proud endorsee of Jalapeno Drums, and also uses a Roland SPDSX.
